Over the period of several days my driver didn’t make a correct attempt to deliver my package (a bag of dog food). The first time they turned up earlier than the stated one hour time slot and took a photo of another house in the village. I have had people working on the outside of my house so there was plenty of people outside to ask for directions. I reached out to customer service and they said that they can’t contact the driver (which I know if a lie because this isnt the first time I’ve had to go through this mess of a situation, and they did end up contacting the driver the next day), I called them out on the lie and the agent ended the chat! I started a new chat to try and get a solution and again I’m told that the driver will come back the next day, and they suggested I make sure I have a safe space option and a leave with neighbour option selected. I told them that I already did and regardless of this the driver still didn’t leave my package.
Second day the driver comes back, I am again working out in the garden and I can see the van park outside my house, for the driver to take a photo of my car from inside their van then drove off! I again reached out to customer service to tell them what just happen and they then contacted the driver to tell him to deliver my package. I got a call from the local depot confirming my address and told that the driver would contact me soon to arrange a delivery. Several hours go by and I reach out again to customer service and I’m told that my package was back at the local depot I have to wait in till 8pm to see if he goes back for it and try’s to actually deliver it, and they can’t guarantee that he would even do it today. I ask about the process to make a formal complaint and the rep says they won’t tell me until after 8pm just in case the driver turns up! I tell them that regardless of the driver turning up I would be putting in a formal complaint. They then ignore the conversation for several minutes before telling me to call the phone number on the website.
I call the number given and eventually get through to a rep only to be told that I’m not allowed to put in a complaint that it has to be the company that my package is being delivered from that can complain about the service. On top of this the rep also said that my package won’t be out again for delivery for another 4 days at a minimum because they don’t want to do it on a weekend! Everyone I spoke to was very unhelpful using the same generic responses and outright lying and never giving a straight response
