I ordered a Hifi from Curry's, DPD was their choice of courier. I tracked my driver "Ellis" via the DPD App, I was the next delivery, I waited looking out of the window anticipating "Ellis's" arrival, but he never came, I had a automated text from DPD to say that my delivery had been made and apparently signed for by myself. I phoned DPD straight away who advised me that my Hifi had been delivered in error to another person on a totally different addresses, when DPD supplied me with the address that the delivery was made to, "Ellis" turned up in his DPD delivery van, the person who signed for the item, passed the main body of the Hifi back to Ellis the DPD driver with no power lead, remote, no box etc it was all unpackaged, Ellis then said to me "here is your parcel" I said you must be joking, I paid full price for a brand new boxed item and you are handing me part of the Hifi system, I added, I paid for a boxed item as it is a present, Ellis sarcastically said "well they won't have to unwrap it now will there" I refused to take receipt of a partial item that the wrong recipient had unpacked and used in the space of 20 minutes, so I said that I am not taking receipt of part of a delivery and I would like some sort of "acknowledgement" that the part of the initial parcel was again in the possession of DPD driver Ellis, he told me to F*uck off, I said that his behaviour was disgusting, he told me that he used to be a firefighter and now he is doing this "poxy" job delivering to "c*nts" like me, I pursued this further when he knew that he had overstepped the mark, out of nowhere he started screaming that I was attacking him, to draw attention away from me, I hadn't moved from the spot, and I couldn't attack anyone as I have a heart condition and any undue stress or exertion would cause me to go in to cardiac arrest, so Ellis drives off, in the space of the next hour, he returned 5 more times and sat outside my property, filming me on his smartphone and trying to get a reaction by sticking his fingers up to me, on his last visit I was on the Phone to South Wales Police as I felt intimidated and threatened by Ellis returning and parking up outside my property in the works van and filming me, South Wales Police attended my call and have put my address on to high alert / rapid response if I make a call due to intimation by the DPD Swansea area driver Ellis, Ellis failed to see that the complex where I live is covered by cctv, plus the tracker on his van will show that he was at my address multiple times intimidating me within an hour or so timescale, it was a frightening experience being threatened and intimidated by a delivery driver because he made an error delivering to the incorrect person initially, expecting me to then accept a part of a unwrapped, unboxed, incomplete order that the "person" that he delivered to had unboxed and started to use, I wouldn't of minded if he had actually apologised, but he was arrogant, cockey, abusive and threatening towards myself, he was in no shape or form apologetic and returned multiple times to my address to intimate, bully and make me feel threatened and scared. I have logged this issue with DPD Customer service call centre, I telephoned there 3 times one call handler was initially sarcastic, but Yullia, and Edward were outstanding, I must say, I logged the incident and further called back giving a Police Incident report number, and Crime Number after the Police were in attendance at my property as I had to call them as I felt threatened, I am a 45 year old man, and I felt physically intimidated and threatened by Ellis's behaviour and conduct as he was aggressive and coming in to my personal space and pushing his face in to mine at points of our conversation, but ultimately if "Ellis" felt threatened by me, why did he keep returning to my property, and harassing and intimidating me and filming this all on his smartphone, plus the fact that he has used the DPD works van which has a tracker, DPD as a company will clearly see that he purposely returned to my address to bully and intimidate me. The question is how many others has he done this to? As there are a lot of frail, vulnerable, even elderly people that DPD deliver to, was today a one off occurance of the bullying behaviour displayed by Ellis? To be honest I can only give you my honest version of events, I am sure Ellis would tell a far from honest version of the truth, all I can say is I felt intimidated, bullied and abused, all because Ellis had to come back to rectify his mistake by delivering my item to the wrong recipient, and this recipient had already unboxed and used the Hifi, and only partially gave this back to Ellis, who then in turn, Ellis expected me to take delivery of as a delivered item, when it was incomplete, used and unboxed, at the end of the day Ellis's arrogance overruled job role and customer care and service. I am disgusted and appalled by such behaviour by a delivery driver, dreadful attitude to the customer and the item / package. Spencer (Swansea)
