I used DX as the main courier for my company for about 3 months in early 2021. In a space of 3 months, we suffered losses and damages of around £6000 for shipments which they lost or damaged.
After 3 months of emailing and calling daily, we finally received £250 in compensation.
Their customer service is appalling and we received our first and only negative reviews as a company as a result of DX's abysmal quality of service.
They keep losing shipments, although I don't know how you can lose tables that are over 2 metres long and they keep damaging everything. We reached a point where we spend most of our money on packaging materials and extra protection and their drivers still damaged the items.
There is a complete lack of professionalism when it comes to accepting responsibility for their mistakes.
Over the 3 months we used DX, our customers complained about things such as:
- waiting for up to 3 weeks to have delivery of their items since dispatch
- only partial delivery with the rest of the parts being lost
- impossible for customers to contact DX to arrange delivery
- a customer received a mattress instead of the table we originally sent.
- customers who had to drive miles to another address in order to pick up their shipment that got delivered to a complete random place in that town.
- customers who had the drivers show up with nothing to give them. The drivers would then lie to them that it's probably us who didn't send the items out in the first place which is an absolute joke.
When I tried to speak to them several times in order to improve things, the response I had was "we have over 75% success rate on your shipments so that's pretty good". 75%.... for someone who ships out 10 items a day, that means we had to deal with 2-3 unhappy customers a day which would then mean issuing refunds and compensations on a daily basis.
It was the first time in my life where I genuinely came so close to having an absolute mental breakdown.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don't generally leave reviews often but I think it's my responsibility to warn anyone out there to not use this company. They are the absolute worst courier company I have ever encountered.
Please don't use them. I would personally walk my shipments to my customers rather than use DX ever again.
