I sold a zero turn lawnmower to a buyer on eBay. The buyer messaged me later to say he wanted a refund. I contacted eBay by chat, BECAUSE you literally cannot talk to eBay on the phone...ridiculous. The representative assured me it was my prerogative to cancel the order or not to cancel the order...very fair and reasonable assessment and it is their policy, as well. Long story short, because this transaction was over 3 weeks in duration, I even had to speak to another representative, because the buyer was so unscrupulous and refused to pickup the purchase, because he said wanted to delay me getting paid as long as he could! The case was “escalated “ and eBay ruled in this buyers favor!! Their reasoning was that “I did not deliver the lawnmower to the buyer”....it was clearly listed in the listing as LOCAL PICKUP ONLY!!! They refunded this guy completely...Needless to say I am NEVER using eBay again! This was not the first bad experience I had had with eBay, but this was the worst! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY WITH EBAY; Amazon is much more reputable...eBay is an absolute mess!
