Update on my review of yesterday. I rang their sales support line at 0800 when they opened this morning but still had to wait 15 minutes. I was told it was a 'sales line only' and could not help with queries on existing sales. he offered to put me through to customers services. I pointed out that their brochure gives the hours of customer services as 0900 to 1700 and he agreed they were not yet open. At 0900 on the dot I rang their customer services but again had a queue but only 10 minutes this time. I was told my order was despatched at 1503 the previous day by Yodel. I asked for the despatch reference and was told that 'it had not yet been entered into the system but I would get an e-mail today giving it to me. Surprise , surprise no e-mail about the despatch but each day this week I have received an e-mail from Eckman about new offers!.
This seems to me a classic case of a company over-trading having neither the staff nor the finances to manage the level of business they aspire to. Will wait a couple of days to see if the order turns up.
