If I could give this establishment zero stars., I would. My husband and I were going out of town for the weekend and reserved a car (with a confirmation number and details) from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Ottumwa, Iowa, to be picked up on Friday, April 12th at 8:00 AM. I got a call at about 7:30 AM saying that the car wasn't ready and they would call me when it was. I explained that we were both working that day and that's why we were going to pick it up at 8, but I would be able to get pick up the car sometime after noon. I got a call back at about 9:00AM that the car was ready to be picked up. Again, I explained that I was at work now but could get it in the afternoon, when I had ride to their office. They gave the car to someone else. The manager said that is their policy. Then he said they would have another car for me and the he had something to do but he would call me when he finished the errand and might even be able to pick me up. He never called me. I called and no one answered a couple of times and then went into the office to see what was happening. He said a "confirmation" is not a guarantee that you will actually get a car. What? I think people need to know that they do NOT stand behind their promises. If you reserve a car ahead of time, they do not guarantee you will get one. It ruined our weekend. I called corporate and they said someone would call me in 24 - 48 hours to discuss the situation. No one has ever called me. I called them a week after the incident. Again, they said someone would call me. NO CALLS. A few years ago, I posted a positive review because their customer service was superlative. Times have changed. No longer the case. Terrible manager, terrible customer service. Very, very disappointing.
