I order the pressure gauge attachment for my portafilter holder because I suspected the pressure on my Rancilio Silvia was running high. The pressure gauge worked as indicated -- showing my machine was running at 12 bars of pressure, which appears standard with many Silvia machines. Now I have a baseline reading for adjusting the Silvia. There are other reported methods for checking pressure, but this option was the most straight forward. Definitely worth the money when considering time and potential frustration.
