Second time I have used Everpresent to transfer my old VHS and 8 mm tapes. I like the fact that I get messages from them as my project goes from one station to the next. I have been getting both flash (thumb) drives and online but I find I really only need the flash drives. I download the files directly to my mac and off I go to iMovie, organizing and editing. The quality is decent since many of these tapes are over 35 years old. I have created many short (6 min) videos to post on my secure "family" "What's App" and have been able to share them with my adult children who can now enjoy and share them with their children. Love to look at our family's "history" in videos. I have completed about 14 of these so far and I am about half way done. I will be dropping off my next batch later this month. Only thing they could improve is to have someone always answering the phone. I hate to just leave a message and wait for them to return my call.- which they do, but sometimes it does take a few hours.
