I waited a little while before reviewing this awesome scooter so that I could give a decent and educated opinion of it. I have to say, this was a good purchase. I researched a lot before buying the E-Twow GT 2021 SE. There are a few factors that influenced my decision. First off, the tires are solid, and yet the suspension on this scooter is superb. So much so, that even though the ride might be just a hair more brutal than it would be with air tires, the tradeoff for never having to worry about a flat is a complete win for me. I am an avid bike rider, and I can tell you that having to deal with flats is a total pain in the rear. This scooter is fast. Holy moly, lemme tell ya. This scooter can get you places in a hurry. I bought this as a graduation gift for my daughter, and the first time she hopped onto it and took off down the street, my heart jumped a little when I realized just how powerful the scooter is. I grouched that she will have to have a helmet from now on. The battery provides a fantastic range of around 20 miles if driven conservatively, and it charges from 30% to 100% in less than 3 hours. The charging port and charger are robust as well and appear as though they are designed to last. We will see as time goes on. The braking system is second to none in terms of redundancy. I am a 16-year veteran fabrication specialist who works for Boeing, so I appreciate the fact that this scooter has three systems for applying the brakes. I can always be confident that the scooter is going to be able to come to a safe stop at any speed. The scooter is really well-built. When you look at it closely, you can see that quality is everywhere. The way it folds down so you can carry it with the provided strap is great. My daughter can leave the house and fly like the wind to the bus stop, fold up the scooter, take it on the bus, hop off the bus close to her destination and then quickly unfold it and ride the rest of the way in no time at all. She is a college graduate without a car, and she doesn't need one when she has this scooter. It will provide years of reliable use if she takes care of it, and it will save her thousands of dollars in auto costs. The SE version that I bought has blue-tooth connectivity using the E-Twow Connect App. My daughter loves this, as she can meddle with some of the settings of the scooter that would normally have to be done manually by pushing buttons and holding this, that or the other. It can also be locked so that it makes a super-annoying continuous chirp if somebody tries to roll it away. This feature alone makes the SE worth the extra 100 smackers. At first, we wondered where we would put a bike chain or cable on this thing to lock it up in addition to using the app, but we quickly discovered that putting a cable through the center of the back tire works perfectly. Nobody is going to run off with the scooter unless they use bolt cutters and then physically pick the scooter up and run down the street with it. In conclusion, if you are looking for a nice reliable and well-built scooter that has great speed and a decent range for city commuting, then the E-Twow GT 2021 SE will not disappoint. For a scooter with all of these great features, for under a grand, you won't find many competitors.
