I tried to order flowers to be delivered to my aunt in a physical rehab facility yesterday. I chose an arrangement that was available in her area, and paid the same-day delivery fee. There was also a same-day guarantee if you complete the order by 3PM - my order was in hours before then. I got a call at 4:30PM yesterday that the florist would not be able to complete the delivery on time, and asked if it could be delivered today instead. I said yes, and didn't mention the extra fee because it's a busy time of year and I get it that sometimes the day gets away from us. This morning at 9:45AM, when the day has barely begun, I get a call from FlowerShopping.com that the florist can't complete the order yet again, but maybe they can tomorrow. Instead, they have found another florist who CAN complete my order, but required an extra $31 in fees to get the order out today. When I refused (because that's obviously a scam), their offer became "$10 off the extra charge to help with today's delivery." SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. The flower arrangement I picked was $48. In taxes and fees, the total for my original order already came to $72, and then they wanted to tack on a $31 if I ever wanted to have my order made. SCAM!
