On 10 December I ordered 2 Christmas present food hampers to be delivered on 18th December in London and Brighton. The first was delivered almost at once and sweated under the recipients’ Christmas tree until I heard about it and could advise them to move it to a cooler place; the second was delivered on 31 January, after complaining, missing Christmas altogether. I understand the special problems of scheduling in the pandemic year and carefully ordered well in advance, but not too much in advance to threaten food quality. I have enjoyed Borough Box produce before, but will not order again. I can’t risk it.
