I rarely write a truly glowing review. But Food Service Direct deserves all the accolades I can bestow upon it. This company is a class act from start to finish. I began ordering 5 lb bags of shredded parmesan cheese from FSD when I discovered that my high-class local supermarket was putting more than a little wood fiber "filler" in its 5 lb bags of shredded parmesan and calling it an anti-clumping" ingredient. Food Service Direct sent me a 5 lb bag of Kraft shredded parmesan with no fillers in it whatsoever and guess what? No clumping! I order a 5 lb bag from FSD every few months now -- and I'm just a home cook. The orders always arrive promptly in a styrofoam container with plenty of ice packs. My only wish is that they would let me send the containers and ice packs back to them so they could reuse them. Love this company!
