We own 2 Ford Mustangs. Beginning of the year we got recall letters for each car. In March, 2023 drove to Wayne Akers Ford, Lake Worth FL with one of the cars for recall service. We were told the camera part/ wire will be in within a week and must be replaced even though we had no problem with camera. Went back after a week . They serviced the car and assured everything was OK. Few hours later noticed back up camera was pitch black, it was not working at all. As I closed the trunk I heard a noise of loose screw. Went back next morning and they apologized and stated: “ the technician forgot to tighten the screw and now the camera is updated and you’re good to go.” Same time was in process of selling a house and buying a house over 100 miles away. Camera stopped working time after time and decided to visit ford dealership in Palm Bay. They checked the camera and stated: “ your camera is broken and must be replaced… recall was only for the wire.” They charged me $187.00
I asked one of the managers how is possible for me to pay $187 when number one this is a recall and number two another Ford dealership messed up the camera. Was told I need to call the original dealership that poorly serves the car for a refund. I have tried numerous times to call and leave voicemails for Danielle and I have never heard anything back. Wayne acres Ford is the poorest dealership we have ever dealt with now my concern is that since we own two mustang and we already had to go through so much trouble with one of them what should we do with the other one?
If you have a service call, I would strolling and recommend not to deal with when acres. Ford in Lake Worth because they do not fix your car. They will break it.
