Unlike most reviews on this site, this is based on having used the service, and not a review of how easy it was to buy the insurance. (Of course the make it straightforward and simple to take your money….)
After 10 months into the policy I needed to claim as someone drove into the back of me. The process to report the claim was straightforward. But then I needed to update the claim. Their line is only open 9-5 on weekdays and there is always a 30+ min wait queue. They offer a call back service but that’s not convenient for my work. Having eventually got through - they said they’d notify the garage and arrange for the garage to contact me to arrange repair. Nothing. So I had to call up again. They blamed a glitch in the system and said they’d make sure it happened this time. But no, they didn’t, and it’s now 4 weeks since the incident and the garage still hasn’t been in touch and I have to ring up yet again.
To really put the icing on the cake they’ve sent through a renewal quote for next year. Last year’s premium was £414. The renewal quote is £1050. None of my personal circumstances have changed. Absolutely ridiculous.
I went with Churchill because I thought I’d be better off paying a bit more for better service. How wrong was I. Avoid them
