We tried to take out a policy online, but the LV system glitched and did not complete the payment. However, the transaction was recorded on our credit card account consuming £1000 of credit and leaving us unable to make a second payment. Ultimately we were left with an uninsured car, and LV said there was nothing they could do other than take out (expensive) temporary insurance at our cost. A terrible way to treat a customer given it was an LV system issue. They could have organised temporary cover, or provided cover until the pending payment cleared, allowing a second try. Awful experience.
I don't need LV to explain what happened, but to explain why they were unable to recitfy an issue they caused
