I previously had van insurance and switched to car insurance as I now drive a car. I sent my proof of no claims for my van insurance and was told this would be invalid for my car insurance, so I have lost my 5 years of no claims, and my insurance premium therefore increased.
It was not clear any where that I would loose my no claims due to that fact my previous insurance was for van insurance.
Ultimately I have not made any claims so surely I should be able to carry my no claims across to my current insurance?
