So I am a community mental health nurse and about 6 weeks ago whilst on a visit I got caught in the floods. I drove my Jaguar through a puddle in the road I couldn’t avoid and then lost my power steering and mode control. I called the insurance and they said an engineer would come out to look at Damage. Next day engineer called me to say he would not be coming out because it’s a common fault. I asked him were he got his info he said Google. So I called Jaguar and they said this simply isn’t true. So I contacted my insurance again. They said he should have come out and would sort it out. But could not give me a courtesy car as they hadn’t looked at it. This went on for 5 weeks and in the end I had to tell them I have no choice but to get legal team involved. The next day my car was picked up. However, sill no courtesy car as the engineer is yet to turn up at the garage to look at my car. I need my car as I am a community mental health nurse I told them this but they simply don’t care. I have business insurance and pay for a courtesy car. I believe Aviva insurance are the underwriters. So stay clear of these. They still haven’t sorted this and I’m about to go into week 7.
