Have been a loyal customer over the years, frequently buying jewellery and home wares. I hear Gemporia are having financial problems with falling sales, they've cancelled free ring sizing and closed down Lifestyle channel.
I recently returned a damaged expensive platinum diamond ring for refund with royal mail. Got email from Gemporia that they received parcel but then they claimed ring was missing from parcel and refused to refund it. I confirmed and by email that the ring was in the box. I also have taken photos of returned items in returns. After numerous phone calls and emails they still insisted ring was missing and no refund. I asked them: why would I keep a damaged item? No response.
I then found out that they had auctioned the same ring in a smaller size later that month. I had complained the size P/Q was tight and that it was mislabeled. Convinced Gemporia sold my returned ring without refunding me.
It's unbelievable that they would stoop so low as to cheat customers out of their refunds.
Very sad their Customer Service has deteriorated so badly and they've become so unreliable and untrustworthy.
I am going to report them to Standards & Trading and file a police report on them. They are Crooks!
