The floating bed option was a really great option for a narrow room where we wanted to accommodate a king size bed. The bed made the room work, where a heavy frame would have narrowed down the walking space too much. It would be great if there was a template to make it easier to lay out the slats, and the number of slats seems a light for some mattress types, e.g. latex mattress manufacturers recommend a minimum slat distance which is exceeded with the number of slats supplied. There was also a fair amount of detritus from machining that needed cleaning up/out to get the frame to fit snuggly together. I would have expected cleaner carpentry. Overall though, a positive experience.
