I had extreme difficulty screwing in two screws as there were no pre-drilled holes, as a result the bed is not assembled as it should be but seems sturdy enough.
I actually injured the palm of my hand attempting to fit these two final screws.
The chosen finish was perfectly applied to all areas.
Aside from the issue with the two screws, overall a positive experience and build quality is good.
