Since 9th July we have been in dispute with GYG over fraudulent charges taken from our bank account for bookings taken via a data security breach. GYG have admitted that bookings were made under a different name (not authorised by us) they have admitted that the payments were fraudulent. However, they claim that they ‘cannot’ refund £500+ for the 3 fraudulent bookings on our account which was caused by their security being breached because WE did not cancel them within 24 hours! We informed them as soon as we received notification of the payments pending on our account. We have been in contact with more than 10 people at GYG, they admit the fraudulent bookings and the fraudulent transactions but refuse to refund the full balance of money to us.
