I took a trip to Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend on September 13, 2024, for which I made a reservation via GetYourGuide.com. Initially, I booked for September 11, but then I rebooked for September 13 by clicking a button: Manage your booking.
However, I was charged twice for it—$209 for the September 11 trip and $189 for the September 13 trip. I only discovered it when I saw my credit card statement in October. I contacted management and requested a refund for the extra fee, but I was told I had to cancel the previous trip. To me, rebooking implies cancellation of the trip that was booked previously.
There is a problem with their website design. It implies that somebody can book the same trip twice, which does not make any sense. In addition, the Manage your booking button is under their site's Cancellation policy (see attached). Therefore, the previous trip should have been canceled automatically once the trip was rebooked. I wonder how many other customers have been caught by this trick.
In addition, I would not recommend this trip to anybody. It takes 16 hours, and most time is spent on the bus. The site-seeing (Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend) takes very little time.
