This review is regarding confusing shipping policies from Gigi Pip.
When you check out, your order automatically includes an almost $5 charge for "Free & Easy Return for Store Credit or Exchanges + Package Protection Valid in US." This does NOT mean that you get free and easy returns, including if your package is damaged and the product is therefore ruined!
My package and hat were damaged, and I felt the quality was sketchy for a decoration element, so I asked to return the hat. After going through the process, I asked why I was charged for a return and this is the explanation:
"I do apologize for that confusion + would love to clarify! The free + easy return only applies for store credit or exchanges - if you are wanting to return for a refund there is a $6 restocking fee, rather than the $11 restocking fee without the protection."
You also have to wait an inordinately long time to hear back from customer service. Expect two days, each and every time you have to reach out with a question.
So you will get a refund, but it could take you longer than a week if you have questions.
NOTE to Gigi Pip: If you're expecting us to pay extra for package protection, we deserve a better box. The box you send is flimsy.
I very strongly feel that if someone pays extra for "package protection," they should NOT have to pay to return a product damaged during shipment.
