I bought a Peter Storm coat and the zip literally fell to pieces 1 year and 1 month later .
The extra month meant it was out of warranty. I rung up and argued that I would have expected a zip on a quality coat to last longer than a year.
They also argued that a zip wasn’t covered in a warranty - as it was an integral part of the coat and got a lot of use .
My response was that is precisely why it should be well made and covered .
When we are trying to promote a green approach to our lives a year of use out of a coat is poor.
