I bought a rab electron pro jacket less two months ago from the Swindon store. I called up today and explained I wasn't happy as the logos had been falling off despite only being worn a bunch of times to walk my dog in the cold, even with me avoiding wearing in the wet. It's a £200+ jacket also hadn't even been washed yet. I owned a previous rab electron jacket 6 years old I had washed 15-20 times and brought it with me to show the staff that this isnt normal for my usage or the particular jacket as the old jacket still had all of the logos. They must have hugely downgraded in quality or I just got a bad batch (issue with the ptfe?). Some logos from inside, one on the arm and worst of all it had started to happen to the main rab logo on the chest (mostly bubbling at that point but thats what happened to the arm logo before it began hanging off so I pulled the rest off the arm as it looked nasty hanging around- but after the staff "inspecting" it with their fingernails it was a LOT worse). I spoke to (somehow) a manager called Becky on the phone and explained all of this about the logos and only relating to the logos and was told "no problem of course just bring it in we will have to look at it in store." The store is 6.5+ miles away in the outskirts of Swindon where I have to catch two buses either way to get there. I explained this also and Becky of course explained that they would have to see it to be able to do anything. I set out to the store a couple of hours of buses and confusion on which bus even goes there as because noone goes there, none of the drivers were familiar with which bus I had to catch. I was told the wrong bus and ended up on a 1 1/2 hour detour out to highworth for nothing (not go outdoors fault, granted). I finally arrive at the store and the cashier called for another staff member to help me which turned out to be a female staff member called "Tay". I explained. The whole time I was explaining, she was looking at the logo and rubbing it, scratching her fake acrylic nails around the edges towards the top left of the logo trying to peel it off whist telling me its fine she "doesn't see the issue". I could see she was making it worse and created a lip at the edge so asked her to stop (I wasn't so annoyed at this at the time as I was certain it needed to be replaced and would be. This is VERY low quality for such a reputable and expensive brand). "Tay" said she'd need to call for a manager (so not sure why she even came in the first place) and called none other than the Becky I had spoken to on the phone earlier. For some reason some other girl staff member turned up also, as if her input was necessary when it was a manager that had been called. The other girl wasnt a manager, pretentious. I re-explained to no avail while the next two of them were scratching the logo and rubbing it still making it worse. Also the jacket had ended up being propped on the pile of dusty log bags for fire wood as they for some reason stood around it instead of taking it to a vacant counter 2 metres away. Again, I overlooked them using it as a table as was sure after their repeated attempts to peel up the logo that there would be something they would do or why are they making it worse? The other logos inside had letters half hanging off and were unmistakably not adhered properly to the surface of the material. For some reason, possibly due to the fact they both wore thick glasses they were unable to see the bubbling under the edge of the transfer and the lip Tay had created with her fake nails. I have very good eyesight and I even reccomended they take a picture on their phone if they were unable to make it out, as I could see it perfectly. They refused and after all day on buses my own phone battery was too low to use the camera to do it myself. After banging my head on a wall trying to get them to see what I see plain as day and them apparently trying to check, Becky then said that they wouldn't do anything about logos falling off of £200 jackets anyway and at this point I'd had enough as it was her that asked me to come in with the jacket in the first place after the call earlier where I'd explained the issues. So I asked "why did you ask me to come all the way in to see the logos falling off if now I'm in store you are saying this isnt something you were ever going to be accepting responsibility for? I wasted £5 and 2 hours coming out of my way to a far out corner of swindon for nothing and wasted £200 on a nice jacket that looks god awful less than 2 months later" Becky rather rudely said she couldn't quite make out what I said earlier on the phone because I spoke fast and put the blame on me. I take offence to this as I'm autistic and adhd and had a lot to explain. A bit of hypothetical advice Becky: if you cant hear what a customer is saying on the phone then dont pretend to. Just ask them to repeat or slow down. I know fully well that she heard EVERTHING I said on the phone as she was responding to me. I can only assume that it's personal upon seeing me in the store something changed her wanting to help me in any way at all. Ironically the only logos that hadn't had the issue were the logos on the backside which get sat on when I sit down so it's clearly not surface friction alone that's caused it. I took photos when I got back and got charge on my phone and its undeniable. Also it isnt go outdoors problem if rab arent making jackets to their usual standards it would be rab that would take responsibility so why even try to deny and protect them? Insanity. The spare (least senior) member of staff at least had the brains to advise I go online and talk to Go outdoors or even rab directly. But Becky and Tay were just sneering and Becky said "this is over so either go have a look around if I want to buy anything or leave" AS IF I would ever spend another penny in your store after this! A dying shop it seems. It's a ghost town and they hire whoever they can get because the shop is so empty and out of the way so even inexperienced and immature girls become supervisors and managers. They had no customer service skills between them and I didn't even get so much as an apology from any of them. DISGUSTING. STEER CLEAR OF THEM. Other outdoors shops are available....

I purchased an item which was tagged as £23 for members or "retail price" of £45. Membership cost me £5, so I was misled into believing that I'd saved £17 by paying the membership fee. A quick Google search, which admittedly I should have done before supporting this business, revealed the exact same item for, lo and behold, £23! Not £45. I returned to the store to request a refund for the membership but was refused. I hope the £5 you scammed me out of was worth the 1 star review. 👍

Had issues with membership renewal, emailed them everyday for 6 weeks, seems that each reply is Ai generated and never gets any further. Everytime i replied i waited and waited for a response, never got one until bombarded them with more emails. Still not sorted after 2 months.

Appalling company. They advertise goods online that are never in stock charge postage and not refund. They also charge for membership if you are a new customer trying to order an online item shown as in stock but clearly not in stock. This company is disgraceful in how it handles online orders. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

buying on line is just appalling , very little stock , what does come is wrong , you pay for postage , items so cheap try getting them ? , keep offering sale items but out of stock , then try getting a refund , customer service is around 45 mins on the phone then you have to try to get a refund , by far the worst company to deal with .

The amazing female staff member in your Scarborough store rang my local store in Leeds and reserved a Peter Storm coat in my size. This was after she had spent a long time trying to locate this coat in her own store. Well done and dedication to her job! Thank you ☺️

Purchased two items two weeks ago and only one has turned up, I have sent numerous emails about this and had zero response as of yet! I tried to ring customer services but it was a 25 minute wait and i didn't have time. It's a shame this could be a really good store they just need to improve the customer service drastically.

Worst service out. Ordered an item said it had been sent, but it wasn't at all the store didn't even bother. Told to re-order it did that and again didn't receive. Now they don't sell it. Total ripe off. They didn't refund me postage.

HUGE error in delivery resulted in dozens of giftcards delivered to our house. We spent 4 HOURS helping GO Outdoors sort the issue and get them picked up by a delivery company. We were literally sitting on thousands of dollars of giftccards and despite some really kind customer service people, they didn't even compensate us for our time. Told us they could offer us a £10-20 giftcard Maximum... makes no sense even after telling us in advance we'd be compensated for our time trying to sort the issue for them - terrible company ethos and super dissappointing reaction to customers trying to help the company fix a mistake that quite literally affected more than 40 customers and would have taken countless hours to discover and correct without our help.

Don't use their Click & Collect service. I tried to buy 2 swimming robes for a holiday in a weeks time, had several incorrect delivery promises from delivery company which would all have been too late. Went into Stocksbridge shop & with a Managers agreement (Lucy) bought 2 similar items from their stock on the understanding that when the C&C items finally arrived they would return & create a refund. How naive was I? No communication or refund Tried Customer Service (what a misnamed department.) Emailed with their AI Chatbot several times, spoke to a human once who promised to create a refund (still waiting)!! What a waste of space this company is. So now gone via the Bank and have initiated a "charge back" for £98. Lets see if thats more successful, if not Trading Standards it is.

Broken promises and £100 parking fine for paying customers. The staff at GO Kidderminster did not keep their word. -We spent just over the 2 hour parking limit in Go Outdoors Kidderminster on 03/06/25, considering various equipment, deciding on options and purchasing some camping equipment. The Cashier took our car registration and details and promised to make sure no automatic parking fine would be issued. It's a third party enforcement company contracted by Go Outdoors, so have a £100 parking fine on top of our purchases - we will not give any more custom for this store! This is terrible treatment of once good customers! Receipt numbers 01389-6-9207 and 01389-6-9218

Very slow to return payments for returns. Customer services are useless and you just go round in circles with them.

I brought my mountain bike into Go Outdoors in Warrington for a new chain and cassette. Firstly I rang the store only to be told the so called bike mechanic wasn't in & he'll be back in tomorrow so I rang the next day only to be told the same thing.. & the the next. My bike had a minor problem with 1 of the cogs on the 9 speed rear cassette but by the time Go Outdoors had finished with it my bike was virtually un-rideable & all at the cost of £75, also their online customer service was a waste of time. If you like your bike then keep it well away from Go Outdoors as they're an unfunny joke.

I bought a Peter Storm coat and the zip literally fell to pieces 1 year and 1 month later . The extra month meant it was out of warranty. I rung up and argued that I would have expected a zip on a quality coat to last longer than a year. They also argued that a zip wasn’t covered in a warranty - as it was an integral part of the coat and got a lot of use . My response was that is precisely why it should be well made and covered . When we are trying to promote a green approach to our lives a year of use out of a coat is poor.

Bought a £200 rent recently during Black Friday event. Tent was paid for and shipped. Delivered by Evri….. to completely the wrong address. No idea where and no sign of it with neighbours or nearby. Evri said contact go outdoors. Go outdoors response was “ we picked it and shipped it. It was delivered by Evri. Claim rejected” So apparently if you order anything it’s at your own risk…. Which is illegal under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act. Don’t waste your time buying anything from these utter scam artists.

Ordered item before the end of day paid for next day delivery. Had an email from delivery company, saying they will let me know when item has been collected, and on route for delivering, still haven't heard anything, and going by the reviews I've read, next day delivery is useless,so if I haven't had a delivery by end of day, they will be refunding me my money.
