There is no greater service than Goodbye Good Boy. It's impressive to the extent that I wish others could experience the peace that they have brought to myself and my family. I wrote a lot, so I hope it all posts, and I'm very sorry if this is too long. I have nothing but praise for this lovely business.
When my beloved cat had to be put to rest, abruptly, they were able to organise an appointment within the very last hour of opening. I even noticed that Goodbye Good Boy stayed with me through text and on the phone to organise it even when I (believe) things were going overtime. When I had to change my plan, they were accommodating and kind, fixing the bill with no hassle or rush. I was even told local places to get my animal put to rest if I needed to do it this very very moment, and it really showed me that they're in it for the animals.
Dawn, who answered my phonecalls, was very kind and sweet. I had to call back multiple times because I was admittedly freaking out on what to do, and she stayed with me, and handled everything quickly and efficiently. Genuinely one of the sweetest people I've ever spoken to, and very good at her job with quickly handling paperwork and payment. The sympathies expressed for my animal were so genuine, I was really touched. When I spoke with Dawn, I was certain that these were the people that I wanted to associate with and handle the passing of my best friend.
The vets employed guarantee your animal has their moment. There is no rushing, and all is very careful and peacefully done. We were told what to expect, what may happen, and our vet (Dr. Tom Currie) has one of the kindest hearts I have ever seen in a vet (I have had many animals). When he arrived to my home, it didn't feel like a sense of foreboding doom -- he was polite, made good conversation about anything (some members of my family desired to talk about things such as careers, medicines he was using, how his day was going) and kept it going. He maintained conversation at the pace of his clients, and was very patient in how we wanted things to go.
The care in which Goodbye Good Boy takes with their animals is impeccable. Whilst there was impeccable professionalism in this whole procedure, it was not sterile or stagnant. I could tell they really loved animals, and looked after the pet owners, too. For specifics: the I.V. and procedure of putting my cat to rest was seamless. He got the needle in within seconds, letting my cat be put to rest (sleep) before euthanising him, too. We were also given the option of oral or I.V., with explanations on how either goes.
When all was said and done, we were allowed to grieve in any way we desired -- some were crying, some were smiling, all that. He was understanding of it, and reassured us that we could grieve in any which way we liked. It genuinely seemed like he wasn't just saying this because he had to, but had a big heart. I am 100% certain that this sentiment is shared with all vets there.
This service is worth every single dollar and more. They accommodate you, your pet, and it's the most comfortable I've ever been. I lost my best friend since I was seven years old (I am 21 now), and I can say with certainty that the way Goodbye Good Boy handled it has aided my grieving process tremendously. All was done with respect, kindness and love.
I will forever use this service for all of my animals, and I not only suggest others do, but implore them to do so. It is psychologically benefitting ones grieving, and the most harmonious way for your beloved pet to go. Rest in peace, Habib, but I couldn't of expected such a wonderful and kind eternal sleep for you.
Please give Dawn and Dr. Currie my regards. I will never forget this service.
