In the hardest time of our lives the team at GBGB was our guardian angels and we cannot thank them enough. From the first phone call to Cassandra where I could hardly speak through my tears to the catch up calls weeks after to ensure we was all coping, the empathy the understanding and communication shown in such a challenging time was nothing short of exceptional. Dr Emily showed so much patience and compassion and made sure Fred’s last moments were exactly as we wished them to be. As traumatic as it was for us as a family to say goodbye to our baby boy we have so much peace knowing how peaceful it was for our Fred and knowing once he was taken he would be respected and handled with care until returned home to us. We never wanted to let him go but we knew it was time we didn’t want him to suffer, I couldn’t have imagined having to do that at the vets a place Fred hated, instead he was cuddled up on my knee in his favourite place on the couch surrounded by all of us fed his favourite treats right up until falling asleep, and we got to grieve privately as a family as nothing can prepare you for that moment and what comes after. All of this made possible by GBGB. We will never be able to express enough gratitude to thank you for your amazing service and allowing us to give the best send off possible to our little boy in a fur coat 💙
