I had to make the hardest decision in my life to put my dog down because his kidneys failed him and he was just so ill. The best decision I made was to call Goodbye Good Boy to help me navigate this process. I knew I wanted Harry to be home and comfortable and not at the vet when this had to happen. I was an absolute mess and the online step one process was made easy . It explained what would happen next and guided me so I could be prepared gently. From the second Dawn called to start the second step (I burst into tears), she was so nurturing, caring and understanding and I felt instantly at ease knowing I was doing the right thing. The vet Melissa, was there within the hour for step three and was equally gentle and kind and explained everything slowly to us. The fact that Harry would be sedated first to give us time to spend with him and say our goodbyes was so special and important. Only when we were ready Melissa slowly and gently put Harry to rest. The steps continued to move me right up until weeks later. We decided to cremate Harry and that whole process and customer service was incrediable with beautiful surprises along the way.
