Sadly Gousto has disappointed. I recently resubscribed after returning from working abroad. I used to love receiving my Gousto box and discovering exciting recipes, but this time round, what a let down.
I ordered my first box only for it not to arrive. I waited in all day for it. At no point did anyone from Gousto contact me to let me know something had gone wrong. Only on my second call to customer services was I told that the box would not be arriving due to an error. My money would be refunded. So I had to make a quick scratch supper from whatever was in the fridge, as I’d not shopped due to expecting my box.
There was no offer of reordering my box, I was told if I wanted another box I’d have to do it myself.
To add insult to injury I then got an email from Gousto apologising and offering me a discount of 20% for the inconvenience! Really, that’s so generous, not!
All I can think of is that Gousto has become so successful that they no longer feel that good customer service is important. It’s clear that the support desk is an outsourced call centre that have little connection with the business.
I won’t be ordering again and have gone to a competitor.
