My wife and I rented a car from their Edinburgh airport branch, and when we returned it the agent said there was a dent in the door. He pointed to it but I couldn't see it. He then took me to see the manager, and when I returned with the manager, I was just able to make it out. When I returned a few minutes later to take a photo, I again couldn't see it.
My wife tried to see it twice, and couldn't. I also ran my finger over it, and couldn't feel it. They charged us over £300 to repair an essentially invisible dent, that could not have been more minor, and can not be seen in the photos we took.
As one of your other reviewers said, I think their business model is to charge very low rates and then, if you're unlucky enough to have any kind of damage (the manager suggested someone must have opened their car door into ours), to recoup their money through outrageous charges.
We appealed the charge and got back a form letter that ignored what we had written. We will never rent from them again.
