Unfair Price Match & Customer Lock-In Practices
Halfords price matched a product. However, their systems could not process the price matched amount. As a result, they advised me to pay the full price and they would refund the difference.
I paid the full price via a gift voucher and the remainder via credit card. Halfords then processed the refund. However, they processed it partially via another gift voucher!
They have done this to lock you into Halfords and to take more money (original voucher was less than the price matched amount). Their systems should be changed to process a price match, not having to pay the full amount, and then for Halfords to refund via gift vouchers.
Customers should not have to deal with unfair lock in practices. Customers should have the right to determine how they want to pay for goods, not Halfords!
Raised it with Halfords, but they refused to change these practices, so letting everyone know about their terrible customer lock in dealings.
HALFORDS SHOULD CHANGE THESE UNFAIR PRACTICES. COMPANIES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADOPT THESE LOCK IN PRACTICES.
