ordered a £2000 bike for my commute to work, paid £30 to have it delivered, when it arrived there was no keys so could not use it and the paperwork had not been filled in correctly so the barrel number for the replacement keys wasn't written in, so could not even get keys cut. I had removed it from the box and Halfords said they could not collect it unboxed, so then had to get a taxi with it to local store, left it with them to sort out, after 2 days they rang to say they couldn't see the barrel number (which I had already told them) and what would I like them to do, 1. a refund which would take 3-5 days to return into my bank account which would meen I then would have to reorder and wait a further 3 weeks for, 2 they would reorder which would be with me in a week, so I went with that option, the day it was ment to arrive it didn't and so I was promised it would be in store in two days time and they would assemble it and deliver it to me around 9pm , at 8:45 the undermanager phoned me to say he was running late and could he bring it the following evening, I told him I needed it the next day and I had already lost £80 finnising work early to receive the bike that evening and could not afford to loose even more overtime, so said I would come in a taxi to collect it that evening at that he then told me he hadn't even put the bike together and so I could collect it but would then have to assemble it myself, I culdnt do that so I have to again Finnish work early again, at this point they have offered me no compensation for the loss of monies or the hours and hours spent trying to get through on the phone and online chats (manly with there chat bot holly which u have to start with before it tells u all are advisers are busy and try latter). Don't order from there unless u really have no other options as when things go wrong Halfords are as much use as a chocolate tea pot.
