Absolutely appalling support from uber eats. Order is late, I ring the restaurant, they said they have not started my order and it will be another 30-45min so I ask to cancel. They cancel the order and uber still charge me even though they haven't started. The support team say because they have to compensate the vendor for starting? But they did not start so uber have stolen £25 from me and refuse to take it further. Advice is "in future to cancel the order before the vendor accepts" not really applicable in this case. What are you meant to do stay up all night just in case your order shows up?
The patronising tone of the support was so out of touch. I won't be using them in future and strongly encourage no one else to either. There are many more alternative vendors who do not steal from you.
