I ordered from Uber Eats last night and received a notification that my order was arriving. Upon opening the Uber app, I noticed that the arrival time kept bouncing from 1 to 2 mins. After 5mins of this, I then saw the Uber driver leaving. I did not receive a notification that my order was delivered, a picture confirming that it was delivered, or a request for my pin that is required by Uber delivery. I then texted the deliver asking if he delivered my food, and if so where is it. He then responded to my message, in Spanish, that it was downstairs in the lobby. Of course, when I got down there it wasn't. When I reached out to Uber Support with my complaint, it took them over 24hrs to come up with a "resolution" which was no resolution. They claimed that the Uber delivery guy tried to get a hold of me, which he didn't, I reached out to him, and that he waited 8 minutes, and then left it in a "safe spot". What is considered a safe spot? Someone else's door? I spoke to the concierge in my building and they told me that he was confused, spoked zero English and got off on the wrong floor. Where is the proof that he delivered it to me, he failed to provide any verification. And on top of that he was unable to communicate and lied, I am now suffering the consequences. I will never use Uber again, for food or a ride.
