This is only for the S Lamar, Austin, TX location. I first called to ask if they had a certain size of a sketchbook I had bought in a smaller size before. The woman in the art department on the phone was so abrupt and clearly showed that she had no interest in helping me. I asked if they had the size they usually have and she said no, and that's all. I could tell she was lying, so I went to the store and found what I was looking for, no thanks to her.
After finding what I wanted, I needed help in finding something else that I thought the framing department would be able to assist me with. I walked past the door where the employee was working in the back. I stood at the counter waiting, until I realized he wasn't going to come out and help me. So I went over and asked him for help. He huffed, like actually huffed, and said, "no, we don't have that." And I asked if he had anything similar or something he thought might work as well, and said, "nope." It's hobby lobby, of course you have SOMETHING. Anyway, I was frustrated with the two laziest employees at Hobby Lobby today because usually I love that place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is for that reason, and also because of the nice cashier woman at the front.
P.S. I'm not a Karen, nor one in the making. I'm a Gen Z artist who loves happy people and colorful things. It's just frustrating when grumpy people make something that could be so simple, difficult.
