Disappointed in customer service and the manager during recent visit to purchase yarn on sale for 30% off ALL yarn. I asked a very sweet lady in that dept if a box set of yarn was included she said yes. The cashier called her and got confirmation, and said sorry, it was her mistake, but to let me have it because she had told me it was. but the cashier told her front end supervisor who yelled NO! It's not, then called the store director and told her, and was told NO its not. I walked out after telling the two up front to keep my basket full of stuff. I'll go to Michael's. I only gave more than 1 star for the sweet lady who works back in that department, who sadly will probably get the blame. I'd give zeros to the two girls up front and the manager who allowed this kind of customer service. I worked in public 40 years old school ways...keep customer happy so they will come back again. The signs hanging up says ALL YARN 30% off. No mention of any exclusions. My daughter was so angry about it, she almost took her $51 yarn purchase back for a refund.
Guess Hobby Lobby Abilene can afford to lose customers. Very disappointing shopping trip after driving 25 miles to shop with granddaughter who loves to crochet. I called corporate and got an apology. That's all.
