My car was parked in the long stay car park at Leeds bradford airport for a further 18hrs than I had booked, due to exceptional circumstances that had happened at the airport, meaning my original flight was cancelled and I wouldn't be returning until the following day. When the time arrived for me to exit the airport car park and I couldn't, I pushed the telephone button and was put through and got speaking to a very helpful and understanding attendent. I never had to explain in detail why I was late, I was never questioned about paying extra costs that would have occurred for my cars overstay. I was let out straight away. It's one thing about worrying about catching another flight to get home and the costs implicated around, never mind extra charges elsewhere, but I was surprised, then grateful and relieved that the holiday extras served their purpose.
