I have been a loyal customer of Home Depot for years, but recently they have become unwanted due to the lack or poor customer service. I placed an order of $4k for building material online (Northern VA Area). After placing the order, it stated they would reach out in 48 hrs. to schedule the delivery. After the 5th day of not receiving a call, I reached out to HD through their online service chat (since I made an online order) and they reached out to the store that would be providing the products. When I requested to know what HD would do to compensate for the delay on their part the lady by the name of Maria stated: "Since the order is coming from the store inventory they would be the ones able to apply discounts... the delivery was delayed on their end" and told me I had to reach out to the store directly. I feel HD is just giving their customers the run around rather than taking responsibility as one company. At the end of the day, I did place the order online and not at the store.
After this back and forth, I rather pay more and use local businesses than a big chain as Home Depot. Customers are just a number to them.
