Twice in the last year Home Depot charged me for items the chain did not have available to sell. This is fraudulent. The store holds money, without interest, and then refunds it. This is not a store selling products. It is a credit card scam.

I purchased a stand up freezer and had it delivered. First they 2 sub-contractors wanted to leave it out in the driveway in front of the garage. At my wifes insistence they placed it inside the garage but did not unbox or install it. After contacting Home Depot they said they would have the crew return as white glove service was required. I declined as having to deal with these lazy sub-contractors for Home Depot again was not a good ideal. It has been years since we purchased from Home Depot...there will never be another purchase made with that company. Home Depot-0 stars.

I ordered a small fridge fro my garage to keep medications. I cannot pick up big items and was happy to see they deliver and they did in 3 days. I manage to get the big box to my garage and ready to set it up with help only to see that the fridge has huge dent on a corner and the side. The box was intact so the appliance was packed damaged or dropped in a way that did not break the box. I called home depot and they were useless. Basically did not care, did not apologize and just said to bring it back for a return. Now, if I haul a box that big on my own, I would have not bothered ordering online right? Useless store and service. Will never order again. Now I have to pay someone to their POS item back to them.

We need a new side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and after shopping around, we decided to go with Home Depot. The current refrigerator we have is a large three door French type Trio, a Kenmore that we bought from Sears 17 years ago. There was absolutely no problem with the Sears delivery people taking off the doors, etc. to get it inside our doorway and get it set up. Say what you want about Sears & Kenmore, but we had the best experiences with them on all of our appliances for years. Apparently Home Depot‘s delivery contractors refuse to do that. We picked out a side-by-side that was 28 ft.³ and it was delivered Monday, January 6. It was NOT counter depth but neither is the current one we’re replacing. It did not even make it into the house because the smart aleck delivery driver walked in and looked at our kitchen and looked at the current refrigerator and said oh no, this will not fit, you need to get a counter depth. We have never had a counter depth in this house in the 40 years we’ve lived here. So the nice size unit we wanted went back to the store and we are still waiting for a credit on our credit card. We went out the same day and picked out a smaller, counter depth unit which was only 22 ft.³. It arrived this afternoon and another smart-aleck delivery guy would not even unhook the old icemaker from the old refrigerator because he said it was not properly installed. There has never been a separate water cutoff off in the 40 years we have been in this house; the water cutoff is under the sink right next to the refrigerator. He refused to install the icemaker telling us that he could have them send a plumber over to correct the issues and told us that something was corroded and after that was corrected they’d return to finish installing it. He wanted to leave the unit here but what good would 2 unusable units do us? I was so angry at this point I told him to take it back to the store. Our salesman told us all we had to do when refusing a delivery was to call a number, which by the way, sent you in a voice queue in circles, so we had to call the store to actually cancel the order. When the delivery guys put the unit back on the truck, they left without having us sign anything like the ones did on Monday when the first unit went back. We finally were able to speak to our salesman and lo and behold, the refund policy is not as he promised us. He said we would now be charged for the unit going back to the store. As of now we have two refrigerator charges on our credit card and we don’t know when or how much credit they will be issuing. I don’t know about anyone else, but we cannot afford to accumulate interest on $4000 worth of appliances that have been returned to Home Depot. We were also told that the delivery company they use has been a problem and that the workers are lazy and didn’t want to do anything more than drop offs. This was proven twice over this week alone. We will be shopping for a new unit somewhere else. We will never go in a Home Depot store again because their customer service and everything else has gone so far downhill. If I could give it a -10 star instead of a one star rating I would.

I am a general contractor and I would have to stay after the past year. Home Depot is really gone. Downhill stores are dirty and cluttered and now the online is just basically a joke I would never shop here again, moving my business elsewhere.

I had ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot for my new home. They arrived outside the window, did not contact me in advance they will be late, was in a rush and damaged my front door and wall in the laundry room. Since I was late heading out due to their tardiness, I did not see the damages after I came home. I tried to follow up about the damages and they said you signed for it that all was ok. That is why the delivery men were rushing for me to sign it and leave for their sloppy work. I wouldn’t trust buying appliances from them again. Both broke down (including the motor on one of the appliances) and other was a few months after the warranty. It has been such a pain!

Still waiting for my microwave to be delivered. Two delivery crews have lied about delivery and attempted delivery. The first crew actually signed my name in the receipt. Home Depot continues to not take responsibility and blame the third party delivery vendor. Home Depot reps have also lied to me. I will never order from Home Depot again.

Had a new refrigerator delivered today. The delivery guys came right on time and did a great job getting the refrigerator in and hooked up. The whole process took less than 1/2 hour. In addition, they could not have been nicer. The people who wrote the negative reviews certainly did not have the guys who came to my house.

Where to start? The wife ordered a freezer and paid 100.00 extra to bring it into the basement, The Truck pulled a very badly damaged box out and set it in the snow slush and salt on the street. Tell them they have to come in the back door and for some reason, they don't unbox it outside but decide to bring it in-house and end up dragging it down the stairs repping the carpet of multiple runners, and damaging the wall. along with their dirty slushy boots, we declined the delivery after seeing the severe damage they marked it as delivered and took two hours on the phone to get that corrected. And the damage still hasn't been taken care of. fast forward another week and a new snowblower was to be delivered and somehow it went missing-fell off the truck I guess. I ordered Nov 25 After having to get a refund cancel the order and reorder set for delivery on 12/27/24 get an email out for delivery end of the day and nothing after two hours on the phone to find out it didn't make it on the truck and now it will be 01/02/24. I just happen to look out the kitchen window to see the same morons dragging a destroyed box off the truck and putting it in the alley by the garage door and fleed while I was yelling we aren't accepting it. Get the phone out and start recording as they drive away and inspect the damage, it is severe, another 2 hours on the phone and are offered 250.00 and keep the snowblower lol checked the parts and there are 425.00 in parts needed to be new and undamaged WTH Decades-long customer that is in shock. Just moved into a new house and need all the new appliances and household stuff and can guarantee will never in my life go to homedepot again

I purchased an exterior door for an addition to my home from HD. Purchased Oct 8th 2024 it was due Dec 24th. I thought it was a long time to wait for a door that was nothing special — it was just a regular exterior 3.0 x 80in door! But okay, I would be patient even though there is a hole in my wall coved with plywood for nearly three months in the middle of winter — hey no problem. Well so much for patience on my part and responsibility and customer service on Home Depot's part. The new arrival date is Jan 13th and I've run out of patience. Hey HD, don't promise what you can't deliver on, you're not the only store in town.

The bad experience is ongoing. Ordering an appliance online in December and being told it would be delivered December 21. Not hearing anything, I had to chase up Home Depot and was given the runaround. My question is if you can call to say it’s going to be delivered why can’t you call to say it isn’t.? Then being told it would be delivered another date, then another date again. no appliance, no delivery date, who is responsible for lying to the customer about delivery dates?? Home Depot has a responsibility to find out what is going on with whoever they are using as a courier! Finally found out it’s stuck somewhere that is closed till after the holidays! So WHY weren’t we told, why are we lied to about a delivery date.?? if and when we eventually receive this, we expect massive compensation for lost wages, for taking time off over and over again to make sure someone is here. The virtual assistant has no answers. Going on the phone means taking more hours out of the day, it is an inefficient way to sell and deliver products online. My husband has a successful contracting business in Guelph, you can be sure we will not be buying anything from Home Depot from now on for business or other purposes. Also, that we will spread the word about the inefficiency of your service.

I had the wrong chain on my chainsaw which caused the saw to buck, throw a bolt and injure me the last time I used it. George, at the East Cobb Home Depot in Marietta, GA found the right one for me on New Year's Day 2025 and Hank in the Tool Rental department helped me get a replacement for the missing bolt and nut to hold the bar on safely. Without their help I would have to call a professional tree removal company to remove a downed tree on my property. I love Home Depot! How Doers get more Done!

Rented a tiller and bought it back. While waiting to be unloaded, a truck pulling a trailer clipped the back left side of my truck. He left the scene. I called police and filed a report. The police have asked home Depot for video footage so tag number can be identified. Nearly 3 weeks later we're still waiting. I called corporate and wAs told the store would have to pull video evidence. Store says no, it's corporate that has to pull tape. Very frustrating that I'm getting double talk. I'm guessing that I will have to get a court order to get any help. Shame on home Depot.

We received a smoker grill from our children as a present. It was purchased online and they paid to have it delivered. It was severely damaged and when we called Customer Service for online purchases the rep told us a new one would be delivered and the damaged one picked up. It never showed up and when my husband called back, no one could give him a straight answer. He spent an hour trying to figure it out and it has not yet been resolved. Very unprofessional and clearly untrained staff. We purchase quite a bit at Home Depot annually but will now exclude them from our options. Lowe’s and Menards are much more efficient and easier to do business with.

I recently ordered lumber from our local home depot. I'd normally grab it myself in my pickup, but this was a fairly large order. I had no problems with the order. It was delivered fine. However, the delivery driver started talking about all of the "great tips" that customers had given him on other deliveries....this was while he was unloading the truck; clearly an attempt to guilt me into doing the same.
