In October 2022, I ordered and paid for a dishwasher. I was hoping to have the dishwasher by the Thanksgiving holidays. The dishwasher was delivered to my home the first week of November however, the people who delivered the dishwasher were not able to install it. There is a team called the compact team that had to install my dishwasher because of the placement of the dishwasher in my kitchen. The delivery team left the dishwasher in the hallway of my home, letting the delivery company know that the compact team would have to install the dishwasher.
So, the compact team comes to my home during the second week of November to install the dishwasher. When the compact team unpacks the dishwasher it is damaged on the bottom. I told the compact team to return the dishwasher to Home Depot. I called Home Depot customer service to let them know that the dishwasher was damaged I would want a new one and I would need the compact team to install the dishwasher. A week later, the home depot delivery team send out a new dishwasher but not the compact team who need to install it. As the delivery people are bringing the dishwasher to my home, they unpacked the dishwasher and discover that this dishwasher is damaged also. My husband called the delivery company and spoke with a supervisor inquiring about why we have received two damaged dishwashers and why the compact team was not sent to install the dishwasher if it was not damaged. The supervisor at the delivery company keeps trying to blame Home Depot for their errors and for sending out two damaged dishwashers. My husband informed the delivery company it was not Home Depot who delivered the damaged goods but them. I wanted this dishwasher by Thanksgiving Day. I was told by the delivery company I would not have my dishwasher by Thanksgiving Day. At this time, I am not happy. The delivery company continues to blame home depot for their errors. I went to my Home Deport in Shorewood, Il, I spoke to Angie the manager, and explain what was going on with the dishwasher and the delivery team. Angie looked up all correspondence in her computer system. Angie looked at me and told me that she will try to have the dishwasher in my home by Thanksgiving but she could not guarantee it. Later on that day, Angie called me with a date that my dishwasher should be delivered. I received my dishwasher the day before Thanksgiving. I am very grateful to Angie for reaching out to the delivery company and solving this issue. It's people like Angie that will keep me shopping at Home Depot. Angie these five stars are for you!!!
