IRATE and DISGUSTED by Home Depot and their HORRIBLE service. I ordered a dryer on 11/23/23, with a delivery date of 11/28/23, for a morning delivery. The ENTIRE morning passes, NO delivery, NO phone call. Finally , WE call HD (more of our time), and are rescheduled for a delivery of 12/4/23. Great news, right. Meanwhile, we have NO way to fully wash our clothes, hence another expense at a laundromat. Well, 12/4/23 arrives, and guess what?? STILL NO DRYER. Hours after "supposed delivery", we receive a phone call. We were frustrated and angry, and CANCELLED our entire order.
While reviewing our credit card statement on 12/20/23, we noticed there was no refund from Home Depot. The refund amount is $552.54. So, I called your "customer service" number and spent 1.5 hours on the phone, another WASTE OF MY TIME. At this point , it's been TWO DAYS OF MISSED WORK and no refund. Customer service was very polite, and was told my refund was issued.
Fast forward to TODAY, 1/15/24, and I realize that my money was STILL NOT REFUNDED. I first spoke to Mary, who was polite, and told me I would have to go to a love HD store for my refund. MY refund of $552.54. Not pocket change. I was transferred to a supervisor, JASON, who was rude and extremely unprofessional. He also directed me to a local store for a refund.
Many questions arise from this stressful and expensive Home Depot experience. One is NEVER to spend my hard earned money there again. Another is that your customer service is DREADFUL. Many operators are polite, but they gave us false information and did not resolve our problem. Another lesson is that Home Depot cares NOTHING for their customers, as this is a financially difficult time for many American families. If they have decided to spend their money at your store, you should have the respect and decency to refund them in a timely manner. FYI, the issue was resolved by JASON, supervisor in customer service, rudely transferring me to a local store, Stroudsburg, PA. The employee there helped us immediately, in a pleasant and efficient manner. I have never had such a discouraging and expensive customer transaction as I have had with Home Depot. Fortunately, we were able to find a small appliance business nearby and had a quick, perfect delivery. And their price was better than Home Depot.
Jason, the supervisor, refused to admit wrongdoing in Home Depot's part. I thought the Golden Rule applied to business, but apparently not to Home Depot. As an owner of a very old home(1890), and an ardent DIYer, I will NEVER frequent Home Depot again.
