I was given a Hotter voucher for Christmas 2016, from my son, for the value of £100. I went to the Hotter shop, in Beverley Yorkshire, in the following New Year 2017. I bought a pair of shoes for £79. As I am disabled, I don't buy shoes that often. I received the remainder of £21 on two vouchers. A year later I went back to the Beverley shop, to pick some more shoes and put the £21 voucher towards them. I was told by one of the assistance, that the vouchers were out of date! I checked the voucher and on one of the vouchers, it had a date scribbled on it with 2/01/18. It disn't say that it was an expiry date and it was scribbled, only on one of the vouchers. The vouchers were given to me in a folder and I had put it into my bag. I didn't even notice that date, or that it would have expired. I rang the company and they asked me for the code number on the voucher. I was told, yes it has expired and that was it...end of conversation! These vouchers are purchased in good faith and should be honoured by the company. I will never shop in Hotter's shops again. After all they are not cheap and you don't buy expensive shoes that often.
