I have been with deliveroo a few years and only had a few problems like missing items or food . However things took a very worrying turn on my last order which forced me to cancel my membership for good left me ill shaking and disturbed ,andi cancelled the silver status . I ordered a pizza and other food from pizza hut. Never urderd before Food arrived stone cold with missing item . The pizza smelt very bad . Like a mixture of petrol and poo. One bite and I was ill, stomach ache although mild but needed to keep gagging . I know it sounds incredulous. I called pizza hut they were not interested. Contacted deliveroo. Now heres the kicker . Was told would not be receiveing any refund for missing item ! And then goodbye closed chat . And would not receive a refund for questionable food delivery I had to bin . Took photos of all food uneaten in bin mixed with waste as proof but they refused evidence . They said goodbye on chat and cut me off ! This is how they are now treating us ! I paid £23 and I have a treat maybe once a month and I have little money. Deliveroo were nasty and wanted me off chat so closed it down. I then rang as I intend to have pizza hut investigated by the council for dubious good hygiene and also deliveroo drivers who I suspect have stolen food items or it may be pizza hut or they forgot but the fact I think the food was tampered with because it smelt that bad and the only thing worse is raw sewage unless the food is that bad it taste like human excrement . Not that I've tasted it but you get my meaning. Hence I closed my account and will be ensuring deliveroo are reported for supporting dubious good hygiene standards that made me ill plus potential dodgy drivers who may be tampering with our food . I was disgusted the pizza was so disgusting I cannot put into words and it's out me off every having a take away ever again it just made me gag to vomit and that's really worrying . WAS REFUSED A REFUND BY DELIVEOO BUT NO REASON AS TO WHY WAS PROVIDED . EVIDENCE IN CHAT REFUSED TOO.
