Replacing the screen in my iPhone SE Gen 1 was easy and took only about a half hour. This job was extra easy because this was the second time I replaced my phone's screen. Apparently, phone screens eventually break when dropped too often. HINT: When removing the old screen, do not center the suction cup left-to-right. Instead, attach it closer to one of the sides. Llifting near a bottom corner helps the old screen to pop off more easily. There was one significant ISSUE: The back side of the screen is covered by a metal plate. That plate has a tab that sticks out from its bottom edge (near the home button). The cable for the home button is secured by a screw through that tab and into a threaded hole on the screen bezel. The tab on the new screen's plate had a manufacturing defect that left it covering the threaded hole. There is no easy way to fix this. Not good. FORTUNATELY, transfering the old back plate to the new screen was easy. The plates are fastened with six screws so swapping plates was a three-minute job. Pretty obvious and not a big deal since I already had everything apart. Really, really.
