For the first two weeks I absolutely hated it. Was regretting my purchase. Then I saw a few more videos online and I noticed how the sound-blocking inserts were installed way at the edge of the window sill. Basically, as far away from the window as possible. There was even a test to conduct. See if there was any light coming through the sides. The compression tubing should be in all the way, so as to block the light. I had originally installed my insert at night, which I would not do again. Anyway, with the new method the sound reduction is significant. I really hear only the low motor sounds of trucks and motorcycles from the street. The rest of the noise is due to the walls in the room itself. It is actually quieter when I sit right next to the window. I would recommend.
