Our neighbor's dog's bark is so loud and constant that it was making it hard to get work done. I'm a professional voice actor, and even though I have a sound treated booth, when my kids went outside to play, that dog barking could be heard in my recordings. The studio is in a 1940s house with concrete walls, so replacing the windows would be a big ordeal and quite expensive. I researched all the DIY baffle methods, but was sad that I'd lose the only light and view in the room. I finally found Indows and decided to give it a try. While production did take a while, when they finally arrived, I was very excited to get some relief from the incessant barking. (I swear, there's SOMETHING in this dog's pitch...my microphone in the booth couldn't pick up chainsaws cutting trees one house over, but this dog...yikes) The inserts were easy to install (pro tip: make sure you DON'T accidentally trap a fly inside. Whoops), and we were amazed that they could hardly be seen at all. It looks like there's nothing there! The kids ran outside and yelled and screamed (yes, the dog was already barking), and while I could hear things faintly, my microphone COULDN'T. Hallelujah! This is going to give me more flexibility and peace to be able to do my job. I'll definitely recommend them to my colleagues, some of whom complain often about loud traffic noise and leafblowers! Great product.
