Clearly when things go right, InterParcel customers are very happy, but when they go wrong, boy do they go wrong. Last Wednesday I arranged for InterParcel to collect a parcel. They chose CityLink to make the collection on Thursday, some time between 9am and 6pm. Despite being in all day no one came and despite providing phone numbers, nobody phone. Friday morning I rang InterParcel to complain. I was told that City Link had tried to collect but no-one was in. The collection was rescheduled for that day and I insisted that they make sure the driver had our phone number. Again I was in all day, phone again at 4pm and was told not to worry but collection might not occur until 7.30pm. Again no-one came or phoned. Monday morning I phone to complain and reschedule. Late that moroning CityLink came to collect the parcel. The driver was the one who had tried to collect on Thursday. He had tried but failed to find our house, phone CityLink HQ and was given wrong directions. No explanation for why he hadn't tried phoning us. I emailed InterParcel to tell the the parcel had been collected and suggested that some sort of compensation for the 5 phone calls and two whole days of waiting might be in order. I was told that under "our terms of use collections are not guaranteed". If they can't guarantee a collection, who on earth would employ them? Certainly not me again.
