I was not at home when the package was delivered. No "you were out" card was left - the package was just left in the front garden, viewable from the street and in the spot where the weekly rubbish is collected from. Although it was well wrapped by the sender, it had clearly encountered a severe impact in transit. The contents, a framed picture, arrived with the glass smashed, which I will have to pay to get replaced.
