I placed two orders through my JCP account. The first defaulted to an address I hadn't lived at for years. I noticed this on the emailed order confirmation. I called JCP. They said it had been more than 20 minutes (3 hours) since purchase, so there was nothing they could do. They said that I should call UPS when I received a shipping notice. The order sat with JCP for two days before a label was printed and another two days before UPS picked it up from JCP. I called UPS, and they said JCP (the shipper) would have to contact UPS to change the address, a common practice. JCP then said they couldn't do that. UPS will only change the delivery after the delivery is refused on the first try.
JCP screwed up my delivery address, refused to change it two days before the label was printed, lied about how to resolve it, and wouldn't take steps to resolve it with the shipper. I sell online, so I know how easy it would have been for them to resolve the issue. I'm out $100 unless the resident at my old house is honest and refuses/sends back the order.
Meanwhile, the customer service representatives were unpleasant, and disempowered. I felt sorry for them.
I will never step foot in a JCP store, or visit their site, again
