“I have been a customer of jcpenny for over 25 years. I’ve had a credit card with them for 10 to 15 years. Always made my payments on time. They increased my credit over 3000 just before I made my payment. My debit card. Was compromised so I got a new one. I thought I had to change the numbers when I made my payment. I tried 2 times it didn’t work I figured out my info on cr card was good so I made my payment. About a week later I got a notice that they were canceling my card. I was floored. I called. The only thing they said they could do was have me reapply for a new account. No. I’ve had this for several year. Not putting an inquiry on my credit report. Guess I will not be shopping at pennys any more. I’ll check out kohls.”
“First time shopper last time shopper. Management was no help. I called news media. When I send your jewelry out for repair. Two times. Y'all try to make me feel like it's my fault. Worst store I've ever been in. Store managers named Jeff Jeffrey. We're talking Rockwall store. Save your money go to Belks. Still don't have my jewelry. I get tired of hearing that word I don't know.”
“I am very disappointed with JCPenney’s recent promotion and their customer service. The promotion advertised that bath towels, kitchen towels, and rugs were “Buy One, Get Two Free.” However, the website was not clear in explaining that you must place a quantity of three in your cart in order to receive the two free items. I ordered one towel, expecting the promotion to apply, but only received one.
When I reached out to customer service, I asked if a supervisor could assist me and honor the promotion since the instructions were unclear. Instead, I was told, “Sorry, we can’t help you—you should have put in three.” I found this response unhelpful and dismissive. A company as large as JCPenney should be more considerate and accommodating to its customers, especially when their own advertisement lacks clarity.
Because of this poor experience, I will be returning the towel and will no longer be shopping with JCPenney. If they want to retain loyal customers, they need to improve both their advertising transparency and their customer service support.”
“Insulting, rude customer service. Let me list the remarks: the beauty parlor operator said I look like " Prince Valiant" after she gave me a short haircut, so I cancelled my card in 2024. In 2025, I reapplied and decided not to hold a grudge. I got my new card and bought sheets. The sheets were like sandpaper but Penney's refused to give me a refund or exchange. They said, "what are we supposed to do with these, we can't resell them this way. Even the manager wouldn't give me an exchange. Although it was supposedly 100 percent cotton, it didn't feel like it. I am a seamstress and know quality sewing. The fit was terrible and stitching was extremely poor.”
“1 checkout desk available at the back of the store with one cashier and the line was long. I questioned the cashier why there were not more cashiers at the registers and was told they had a person quit and cannot find anyone to work. No wonder everyone shops online, malls are dying breed. What is happening with everyday life?”
“Placed an order and after the order was placed I received a coupon on the same pair of jeans that I could have saved $9.99. Customer service would not apply the coupon or even give me a store credit. Makes me want to shop elsewhere. Very unsatisfied with company and customer service.”
“⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT Buy from Frye & Co. – Cheap Knock-Offs and Terrible Service
I recently purchased a pair of boots from Frye & Co., mistakenly thinking I was buying from the iconic Frye brand known for its craftsmanship. What a disappointment.
The boots I received were shockingly poor in quality—cheap materials, uncomfortable fit, and clearly stamped Made in China. They looked nothing like the premium leather boots Frye is famous for, and the quality didn’t even come close to justifying the price tag. It felt like I had paid top dollar for something that should be sitting in a bargain bin.
To make matters worse, Frye & Co. charged me over $12 just to return the boots. Most reputable companies offer free returns, especially when customers are misled by branding. It’s insulting to be nickel-and-dimed after such a disappointing purchase.
This company is clearly trying to cash in on the Frye name while cutting corners at every level. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will never purchase from Frye & Co. again. If you’re looking for authentic, well-made boots—avoid this company and shop directly from The Frye Company instead. Frye & Co. is nothing more than a knock-off operation hiding behind a trusted name.”
“I went in for a haircut and I took a picture of what I wanted. It was nothing like the picture. It is so short I can’t use a curling iron on it. I will never go back again. I paid $42.00 for the cut plus gave the girl a $10.00 tip”
“A fantastic place to shop for a wide variety of quality items. Excellent selection of clothes, home goods, and accessories. Everyone is just so friendly and helpful there.”
“🚨 ATTENTION: What’s happening at JCPenney needs to be exposed! 🚨
Several employees at this JCPenney location in 1321 N Columbia Center Blvd #100, Kennewick, WA 99336, are being harassed and threatened by management — specifically the new Store Manager, Joshua Vaughn, and his assistant (Juana). Workers are being told that if they don’t get enough customers to sign up for store credit cards, their hours will be cut or they could even lose their jobs.
❌ This is NOT in the employee handbook.
❌ This is NOT fair or legal treatment.
❌ Employees should not live in fear of losing hours simply because customers say “no” to a credit card.
Because of this toxic environment, many workers have already quit. Those who remain are stressed every single day, scared of being yelled at, threatened, or punished for something completely outside their control.
💳 So the next time you’re shopping at JCPenney and an employee asks you to apply for a credit card — remember, it’s not because they want to. It’s because they are being forced, intimidated, and judged by managers who tie their jobs to unrealistic credit card quotas.
⚠️ No worker should be punished for something customers decide. This needs to STOP. Please share this message to support these employees and bring awareness to what’s happening behind the scenes.”
“Hello. This message is to give a customer review for a JC Penny's Representative who totally made my day yesterday and she totally deserves a huge raise. Her name is Shannon and she serves in the Window Coverings & Mattress Dept at the Rosedale JC Penny's, Store 0496, Trans 18291. Assoc. 0165 to be exact. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind help and advice for a house full of curtains that will make this house warm and beautiful! I have been struggling with just the right color and fabric for over a month. In one hour she completely made this project a shining success!!! JC Penny's, way to go hiring amazing people in your store!!! God Bless you, Shannon real great!!!”
“Visited the Penney's store in Presque Isle, Maine August 6. 2025. Kenzie helped me find exactly what I was looking for, by actually walking with me to the area where I needed to be, then pulling out the correct size. I was impressed!!

“Ordered a necklace it was all tangled in knots. Jc pennys would not make it right. Don't stand behind there products. I called them and told them it came in mail like that. Won't order from them any more”
“I have been a Penney’s shopper for many years, but your sales suck! Every time I get a coupon, it’s not good for anything I buy. On the back of the coupon it lists about 50 things that are exempt but you need a magnifying glass to read it. Yesterday I spent almost $700 there and had a 50% off coupon. It wasn’t good for one thing I bought! Starting to really hate this store!”
